Advance NCO camp was indeed an experience I'll never forget.We came in as Basic NCO ,passed, and move on to Advance NCO .this year.we bond strongly together as 1 team.During ANCO camp,ilearn plenty of new experience like, knot lashing , buliding structures ,
new group cheers and songs and buliding 2-men bashah.Day 1All Advance meet at Simei MRT at 0645hours. from there we all start running into the school like crazy with heaving bagpack in our hands,First Day wasnt much running around as usual. We are supposed to pack your bags for the following day as we are staying overnight at pulau ubin.bathing was hectic..at least is longer then last year,still the same mdm still banged the door.First night sleep horrible.i have cold shoulders and the worst back ache , im sure everyone having the same problem.gotta pack our bagpack for the 2nd day as it was overnight stay at ubin. hate the Basic Alot. taking their own sweet time to shower ,giving Advance that Shit FACE!Day 2.Morning Breakfast and off we go to Pulau Ubin we our Bashah in our BackPack..i fall down i sprain my ankle [ it hurts badly].. i feel bad leaving Li Ting doing all the work..[SORRY LI TING (:]went to pitch the basha tent with her. hehe kinda fun. oh there is a gossip on someone we dislike. in the night everyone can go night walk while i couldnt. Luckily James Sir was there to accompany me.. first one wasnt that scary yet, but still a litte fear in me.. the are stray wild dogs around.when everyone came back from the night walk. the Sir asked everyone whether were they tired ,everyone replied no . so they go on another night HIKE which wasnt in the schedule.the hike duration was long. and im starting to think astray,im having illusions and hearing noises.hearing footsteps, thought they have came back so i sat there and wait.but no one was there. it became real bad and i started to cry real badly.James Sir told me he only have 2hours of sleep as he was busy packing things.i thought to myself i've longer hours of sleep then him.Poor him.as i've been crying since 0000hours i dare not wake James Sir up ,
- i affect his sleep
- i cant be too selfish,
- he didnt have enough sleep and it wasnt his fault. and
- i guess he was exhausted.
now that i've no company.i feel alone and afraid. crying was so bad i couldnt breathe . at 0045hours, James Sir woke up but yet to see me cried. there was the BIG BLACK BUG flew around me i got so afraid and quickly sat on the bench.i heard footsteps again and they are back. Sirs passed me not knowing whats wrong except Shao Cheng Sir.stopped by looking shocked and so was Terrence Sir.asking whats wrong. Traumatised by what happen , i covered my ears and close my eyes not a word out.James Sir didnt knew a thing.
Day 3
my 'BEST FRIEND' came. unlucky me. superr uncomfortable indeed! went hiking. sang a new song for Hizan Mdm. Modify version of Father Abrahim. the song goes like this. " Mother Hizan Mdm have 14 leopards! 14 leopards have Mother Hizan Mdm ,Some of them are tall and some of them are short but all of them are Strong! Raise your right ! so on and so forth. Dionne, Li Ting and Cai Ying lead us in plenty of new cheers and song, the one i favour most is.
" WE SAY HELLO,WE SAY HELLO TO THE BASIC
WE SAY HELLO TO THE BASIC , WE SAY HELLO TO THE BASIC!"
Ate lunch and then threw up.Awww.. the Maggie Mee was superr salty.i insisted in continuing the hike.thats what im here for the camp! when the whole hike is finish. We all say Good Bye to Pulau Ubin! and HEllO to SINGAPORE! Have the Best Shower and Campfire Preparation all the way ..Wee -Hoo! Dionne and I somewhat modify a new song. So aweasome .everyone want to sing it! And the went for hike debrief which soon after that turned into a stern lecture.Kevin sir's word spurred us to change for the better(:
Day 4 was simple CAMPFIRE PREPARATION ALL THE WAY TILL CAMPFIRE NIGHT!
Campfire , All the Advance was high except the Basic.. Such Party Pooper.Had supper.After that supper came and kevin sir praised us that we exceeded his expectation(: hooray for us!
Day 5 and last day of camp
Area Cleaning , follow up by tons of cheers [ by the advance] Dionne and I totally went high of course. Wrote autographs to each other .it was all goody and sweet. I 'll never miss Leopards Cubs and the Mother of 14 Leopards! Songs and Games was the last. To say our final Farewell.
